I thought I had overcome my childhood trauma on this level as I was defeating the guards on LTK with ease, and then it happened... I died at the door...

First, with a failed 8:17 still getting the body armor before protecting Nat. I realized the first body armor is fairly pointless, so I stopped getting it, and then I died on the way to the door at 7:54 and at 7:24. I was still optimistic. I was getting faster.

Then the run that really messed me up: 7:26 at the door; I panicked and tried to run in before it was properly open. Then a 7:15 at the penultimate door. Then a couple of slower runs, but still dying right at the end. Protecting Nat was going worse and worse as I got more disheartened.

Then a 7:49 success. Much better than my 8:55. Relief. But I knew 7:26 was possible with my current strategy.

Then I died a couple of times going down the stairs. Then again on a 7:25 on the way to the door. Then a 7:54 success. Still too slow.

Finally!! This 7:26 could have been close to a 7:20 if I hadn't have missed opening the door the first time I went near it, but I am happy. I was shaking. I could barely press the buttons at the end. I clutched it. A guard who tried to get me got got. I am still shaking as I type this. A top 50 time (for now)!!

I think I'll stay away from Control for a little bit, at least until the nightmares have gone away.
