Bittersweet.
This was my first fast glass completion prior to my vacation at the start of January. I honestly thought this had a chance at being 1:26.
Once I got back, I put everything in me to go lower--I wanted to land on 1:25 as it would absolutely whacky AND give me leaderboards over Illu, Swiss, and Haydos but I was happy with 1:26 as it would tie Illu and Swiss. I think I sank around 100-150 hours in the two weeks before release with only two other opens. One week had no opens at all. None of the runs completed, including an absolutely 1:25 pace run where I went too wide in the final room and was promptly punished. I was mentally devastated, as I was just chasing that "next open". But, more importantly, I felt like I was letting the team down as I felt like my section was not complete.
I think it was a few days before release--burning copious barrels of midnight oil and dabs--where I realized that I am happy with what I have here. My mental health was taking a huge toll, and I had to stop.
With this said, I am retiring from Aztec for the time being. One day, I will probably come back to 00 but I am not returning to Agent for a while. I will not miss my time here as it brought be to some dark places.
Don't ever let yourself feel like you're not good enough. Don't ever let the loud noise of others and *yourself* distract you from what you can become. You will push forward, and you will persevere.
