Just to clear things up, on my Caverns run I got five boosts and one back boosts:
I got a boost from the AR33 guy after the first double doors, then got back-boosted by the AR33 gaurd on the catwalk. In the drone-gun tunnel I got two good boosts, then two boosts in the final room, along with a descent warp through the elevator door. The strafing was also super-smooth throughout.
I have a couple of screenshots, plus the endscreen on tape.
