FINALLY!!! I am so sad I didn't realize my mic was unplugged during this session, so I don't have my audio reaction on the vod.
That being said, I am still so happy to have gotten my first actual good time in Goldeneye. I've played a bunch in the past and have a full time page filled out for Agent difficulty, but none of my times come close to being as fulfilling as this 53. It took around 15 hours for me to get, and quite frankly I am shocked that THIS run was the one that became a 53. The two boosts were awesome but after the not-perfect gate & getting stuck on the guard I thought FOR SURE this was going to be my millionth 54 second time.
I think the only reason I got such a good lockshot is because I stopped caring about the attempt after getting stuck on the guard. That caused me to not be so anxious and allowed me to get a perfect lockshot - something that has been a run killer on all of my other 53 pace runs.
Somehow, this ended up squeezing out enough time to allow me to get the 53. Hopefully you can tell from the video how excited I was to see those numbers on my CRT. I truly did not expect it to be this run.
