WORLD RECORD !!!

(My first one, hopefully there will be more).

To be honest, I never thought I would be able to set a world record in speedrunning, especially on one of the most famous games in the history of first-person shooters, and one of my favorite games from my childhood.

It took me about a hundred hours to achieve this WR.

I had to listen to dozens and dozens of hours of a 129 bpm metronome every few minutes to time my grenades on the ground. I can't take it anymore, I feel like Captain Hook LMAO (https://youtu.be/xkyb-1BkUcM?si=8ALKe95iKUSuyjE_&t=66). All that to finally achieve this WR without using it lol.

I got 22 seconds seven times, missing objective B (destroying the missile battery), including twice in the last hour of my attempts, coincidentally after turning off the metronome lol. I had a good feeling, I knew I was close to getting it, and sure enough, I did !

My first failed 22 was in December 2025, but then I took a break for a few weeks, between the holidays and discovering the lock warp at the end of the Train level, which I contributed to in order to better understand it, but also so that I could try to achieve as much as possible during my attempts.

My actual career time when I achieved the 22 was 16 days and 16 hours and 33 minutes (the time displayed on the layout is not correct, it was the time of the current session).
